The Victory Dance

In Native American Indian culture, art, beauty, and spirituality are all intertwined in the routine of dance. Victory dances were performed after a tribes’ success in battle, counting coup, or as a means of giving thanks after a successful hunt. The use of eagle feathers was a powerful visual symbol in this dance and was used as a sign of the Creator’s power over everything.
